Each vehicle may have different tire and rim sizes for the same year depending on the model of the vehicle.
We will explain below how to find your tire size and some other key info. For instance, a 2018 Hyundai Elantra could have 195/65R15 or 205/55R16 or 215/45R17 depending on the model of the car.
Each vehicle has a sticker such as this one usually located on the frame across the drivers door when the door is open. Sometimes it can appear between the drivers door frame when door is open. It will tell you the tire size that the vehicle came with from the factory but be careful as the previous owner of the car you bought may have changed out the tire or rim size.
Also, some vehicles have a different tire size for the front tires from the rear tires so read this sticker carefully as you will see in the next section below.
The sticker also tells you the proper tire pressures for each tire and for the spare tire if the vehicle has one. Some vehicles have a different pressure for the front tires from the rear tires.
STAGGERED FITMENT RIMS AND TIRES
Some vehicles have a different size tire on the front from the rear. This is called a staggered fitment so make sure that if your vehicle has this, let us know both the size of the front tires and the rear tires.
Every tire has the size written on it somewhere on the sidewall of the tire. Check this size also as someone may have put a different tires size than the OEM size. For instance, someone may have installed size 225/55R17 instead of the 215/55R17 size the vehicle came with. This is usually fine but if you are looking to replace only 1 or 2 tires, we would need for you to let us know that you have 225/55R17 instead of 215/55R17 to give you a proper quote and whether we have your tire in stock.
When customers purchase a rim and tire package, it may be a different rim and tire size for a couple reasons such as pricing or better availability.
For instance, a truck that has 275/55R20 OEM tires can convert to 265/70R17 winter tires on 17 inch rims. This is the exact height as the 20 inch original tires.
If you have both all season (summer) tires and winter tires on separate rims, please make sure you get the correct size for the tire type (summer or winter) you want us to quote on.
